The Bigger Picture By Kayla CouchPosted on October 18, 2009 by Brian

People’s lives are hectic. And sometimes it feels like everything that could have possibly gone wrong in one day, did. I know a lot of times I get completely stressed out about things. Whether it’s school, or family, or other relationships.. Anything. And sometimes it’s hard to see how good could possibly come out of a situation. A lot of times I feel like I have to handle everything on my own. But that’s definitely not the case. Will Roberson told me one time that his favorite verse was 2 Corinthians 12:9, and it‘s really stuck with me. It says “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” It’s through God’s grace that we are given the strength to deal with absolutely anything life throws at us. No matter what it is. You will never face anything that is impossible to overcome. The second part of that verse says “That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.” God is always with you. And he’ll always give you what you need to get through any situation. When things are bad, I just have to remember that God has the bigger picture in mind. And he has a purpose. Whatever I’m going through is going to make me stronger as a person. His strength is so much bigger than our own! =)    ---Kayla Couch
